B&B or Hotel in the St. Goar area

We stayed at the Hotel am Markt in St. Goar. One of its best assets was a view of the river from its dining/breakfast room. We found the river traffic (working barges, river buses and a ferry at that point) fascinating to observe. It is right across a square from Hotel Hauser that you have started another thread about. Both have good views of the river. Hotel am Markt had a decent breakfast. The rooms were small but functional. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

I stayed at the Rhein Hotel in 2010 and loved it. The owner, Gil, is a trained chef and will cook for you upon request. The room with the balcony is a must!
