We will end our stay in the Dordogne area of France in Cahors and will return rental car there and take train to Paris. We are looking for a B&B with lots of charm near Cahors. A hotel near the train station has no appeal for us. The only B&B that we have found thus far is one we found on Smoothhound. Does anyone have recommendations?

We've had very good luck with the places we've found on www.karenbrown.com and www.specialplacestostay.com. Both are also published as books: "France B&B", by Karen Brown and "Special Places to Stay: French Bed & Breakfasts", by Alastair Sawday.

Agree Karen Brown and Sawday have excellent recommendations and we have stayed in many of the B&B's. KB does not have anything in the Dordogne that will work for us. Will check B&N for the Special Places book--Borders did not have it. Thanks for the replies!
