B&B in Zell Germany

Has anyone been to the Gasthaus Gertrud Thiesen B&B in Zell, Germany. RS recommends it in his book, but there is no e-mail address and I would like to inquire before we go.
Anyone know how I can get e-mail address?

Thanks, Jim

Has anyone been to Zell recently and can recommend a reasonable B&B with breakfast there?

The accommodations listing for Zell does not include a Gasthaus Gertrud Thiesen. I would suggest that you call the number (49 6542 4453) before you go. They might not be there anymore. Or find another place on the list.

Zell is okay. I like Bullay a little better, mostly for its location and transport connections. It's a small town on the river with a ferry to Alf on the other side. From there there are several very nice walks/hikes. You can also bike from Bullay to Zell - it's only 4 km or so as I recall - along the paved Mosel River bike path most of the way.

We stayed in a nice B&B - Gästehaus Eberhard - a block or two from the town square with balcony and partial view of the river. Had an outstanding breakfast.

A double goes for 18 Euros per person, a little more for shorter stays; site is in German but photos are here:

(Don't tell Rick about the place, or the prices will go up!)

We have been to Zell and to Zell am See in Austria. We couldn't wait to leave Zell. We loved Zell am See. We happened to be camping and we were put on the railroad track to camp. That was a horror story! We went down town for a nice dinner. Our next stop was Lucerne and that was great.

I checked out the website www.zell.de Under the heading "tourismos" and then "urlaub in zell" and then gastgeber you will come to a screen asking you if you're interested in a hotel, zimmer, etc. Input the info and click on red search button and you will get pictures of B&B's in Zell and towns in that area. Make sure this is the right Zell (I believe this one is in the Black Forest). I noticed on www.mappy.com that there are several towns with that name. Good luck planning your vacation.
