We think we have booked Chateau Meylet in St. Emilion (in Rick's book). The owner did not respond to our email so we phoned her. She does not take CC and her English was VERY basic but apparently she will reserve the room just on our phone conversation. Has anyone had this experience? I would feel better if we had something in writing.
