Does anyone have a recommendation for a good B & B near Bayeux or in the general area.

You will find a selection of small, family-owned inns and perhaps the perfect one for you. Over the years we have stayed at a dozen or more in various regions of France and have always been pleased. Usually there is parking for your car.
Hi LB,
In Evran there is a pub called Le Vieux Chien Noir which has a few rooms at attractive rates, plus good food. It is not terribly far from Bayeaux as well.

bon voyage! P
we stayed at the B&B shown in the link below and really enjoyed it. it is a working horse farm located on the edge of bayeux in a manor about 180 years old. great hosts, homemade breakfast breads and cheeses. very reasonable. a little hard to find down a country lane near the train station.

If you go to http://www.vrbo.com/115851 it is a B&B ran by a retired Royal British Major General. The nightly rate is 50 euro per person per night and its located close to the beaches. The owners will also give a personalized tour of the beaches for an extra cost.
I would liket to thank everybody for the suggestions. We have found several BB's that look great.

For something different, we stayed at Mont St. Michel and did a day trip to the Normandy beaches. I think it was about an hour drive the Bayeaux. And staying at Mont. St. Michel was magical.

Chateau de Ligerolles - wonderful hosts and a cozy place. About 20 minutes away from Bayeux.
