Anyone have any recommendations for a clean, quiet bed and breakfast in Munich? Don't need anything fancy - just something clean, quiet with good meal and private bathrooms. Any suggestions?
Hi all,
I have not stayed here yet, but I have reserved an apartment in Munich and the owner has been simply fabulous. She is emailing with me as I have a lot of basic questions and sending me all sorts of information. Her name is Monika, Monika Leitner" <[email protected] Kris
Just as the previous poster said, we haven't stayed at this B&B yet, but have reservations at Pension Lindner. It's highly recommended on TripAdvisor, in Rick Steve's Germany guide book, and here on the Helpline. It's a 5 minute walk from Marienplatz.
Like the previous poster said, Pension Lindner. Everything is great, location, room, breakfast and hostess.
Christine I stayed in one a few years ago....Here is a reply I made on this board before..... I was in Munich for 3 days last June. Our group of 5 stayed at Zevatt Bed and Breakfast. The Zevatt are great hosts, they speak good English, full of information and good suggestions. Great Breakfast. The rates are reasonalbe. We loved it. In a good neighborhood. You have to make a train and bus connections to get there, but the bus stops right in front of their house. Here is there website: http://www.bedandbreakfast-zeevat.de/index.php?topo=titulo2&cont=en&menu=menu3 You can find lots of reviews on TripAdvisvor. There is a nice Beer Garden in walking distant, Franziskaner Garten. When I go back I will probably stay there again....enjoy your trip to Munich

Hi Christine, Every time my wife and I are in Munich we stay at Hotel Eder. It's a hotel that serves a great breakfast, but not a "B and B". But its clean, comfortable, on a quiet little side street about halfway between the train station and Marienplatz, and we think very affordable. Last year we stayed there in the shoulder season(in a double with private bath)I want to say it was like 65 or 70 euro a night. Its perfect for us because not only do we like walking around the city center, we also like taking day train trips out of the city and the train station is just 5-10 minutes walk away. Also there's a place to rent bikes at the train station. On a side note: If you have time for a walking tour in Munich try Sandemans FREE walking tours. We've done their tours in 6 different cities and always enjoy them and have a great time.
