We would like a recommendation for a reasonably priced B&B in Amsterdam for a trip in late October.

I just returned 2 days ago from Amsterdam and I stayed at a B and B, Hotel de Leydsche Hof. It is located on a quiet canal in a beautiful area close to all the sights. Our room was 105 euros per night including breakfast. The innkeepers are warm and friendly.The room was large ,light and quiet. The view below was of some beautiful gardens. Frits took time to give us a map and show us where all the sights were. There are only 2 rooms , and the book up in advance. Good luck.

I stayed at Hotel Keizershof and the family who ran it are delightful. It only has 6 rooms but is on a canal and close to tram lines. Good location and I took the tram from the central station.
www.hotelkeizershof.nl. It does have a steep spiral staircase.
