Does anyone know how far it is from the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof to Schmidtstr where the AVIS car rental office is located?
Also, what is the train fare from the Frankfurt Rhein Main airport to the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof?

If you are coming in from the airport to Frankfurt, the fare is 3.80 euro p.p. on the S-bahn. If you are going directly to Avis, get off at the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, walk out the front door to where the trams stop. There, you will walk across the tracks and take tram #11, which will say Höchst on it. Stay on this tram until you get to Mönchhofstrasse. Get off and Schmidt strasse will be another block or so on your left.
Your train ticket is valid for this whole trip if you don't first check into your hotel or dally around. Train tickets in Frankfurt do not have to be validated, just keep them. The trip from the airport to Frankfurt Huaptbahnhof is 11 min. The tram will take about 10-15 min.
