I've booked a rental car thru Avis, for pickup at the Rennes railway station, for our 5 days usage during our trip thru Normandy, then to Rouen and finally, returning it in Amiens at the Rail Station there. Does anyone have any experience with pickup/dropoffs of an Avis rental car at either of these stations? Any suggestions? Recommendations? Also wondering how difficult/easy is it to find these locations? We're taking the train from Paris to Rennes, then taking the train from Amiens to Bruges (via Lille). Thanks much!

Not these two locations but we are familiar with picking up and dropping off at French railway stations. First, you will be surprised at how large these train stations are. Last year, we picked up our car in Nimes. The rental cars were in the parking garage which was about 5-6 levels deep. Three rental car agencies right in the train station with a couple more nearby. We dropped off in Dijon. Again, a very large train station. Three rental car counters in the station. Except for a slightly long waiting line in Nimes, everything was very smooth. For Rennes, they boast that there are 10 rental car agencies in the train station. Avis is one of them. Wow. Here's a LINK to a page describing what rental cars are in the station. I don't have any information on Amien except that I can see an Avis location at the Gare SNCF railway station.
