Avila luggage storage

We are traveling by bus from Salamanca to Segovia in May and want to spend the day in Avila on our way. Does anyone know of any lockers/luggage storage near the bus station? We travel light (one backpack each) but have found carrying it all day sight seeing takes a lot of the fun out of it (we are over 50). Also any great inexpensive restaurants for lunch to recommend?

Five years when we passed through Avila, there was a staffed storage area in the bus station. As I vaguely remember it had an earlier closing time - maybe 4:30 (1630) closing time. You might double check that.
