Hi. I am looking to hire a car in Avignon for a day at the end of March BUT I disposed of all credit cars a few years back (which is proving troublesome as regards deposits). I DO have my mother-in-law's credit card, or my own Visa Debit card, or good old-fashioned cash to offer as deposit, but, unlike in Spain, most of the big franchises won't accept these in France. Does anybpody know of any smaller, independent car rental places in Avignon that might be more flexible??? Regards.
