Avignon and Taxi Stands

Where, for Pete's sake? :)

Avignon, France. We've been in Nice and Paris and no taxi's have been available unless you call. Thinking about renting an apartment that does not have a phone which would create a problem when needing a taxi if there are no taxi stands available out in the streets.

Slightly down hill from the papal palace and diagonally across from the 'I' are two that I've noticed. Certainly at both station. Anything else is a guess, but there's bound to be more.

If it turns out that you need to call a taxi, the nearest bar or cafe would probably do it for you - buy a coffee or something.
