Austria-Italy-Switzerland via Stelvio Pass

I read about the great driving road of stelvio pass. Wondering if we start from Heiligenblut, Austria and then head to bolzano italy, from there reach bormio, and then proceed towards davor, will it be doable in a day. where exactly is that stelvio pass road. It it between bormio(italy) and davos(switzerland), or is it before bormio when driving from Austria at this point on google maps

Hi, These sites may be helpful. http://www.alpineroads.com/engadin.php#stilfser http://www.fogonazos.es/2007/08/stelvio-pass-road-48-hairpin-turns-to.html Personally, I can't even imagine driving from Heiligenblut, Austria to Davos, Switzerland in a day. Are you simply looking for great mountain pass drives? If so, the Dolomites (which you'll need to drive through for this trip) are full of them... Giau Pass, Sella Pass, Gardena Pass, Falzarego Pass, etc. Then add, say, the Timmelsjoch Pass between Italy and Austria (Oetztal) and there's plenty of great drives w/o going all the way to Switzerland. Just some opinions. Paul
