Austria & Germany mid september

I will be staying in Linz, Austria & Murnau in Germany, I would like some ideas. From Linz to Passau how long will it will take to ride a bike at a leisurely pace or it is better to take the bikes in the cruise if we can do it & any tips of what to do in Passau for the day. I also would like some ideas while in Murnau. 1. My husband & I would like to go to the Zugspitze, first I know I have to be in Garmisch, once there I would like to take the Cogwheel train to Eibsee, do some hiking & then take the cable car to the Zugspitze, in order to do that at what time do you suggest me to start my journey at least I would like 1 hour hike & once in the Zugspitze to have a view of the austrian & german terraces & take the last cable car. 2. I have plans to visit Oberamergau, but I am risking if I can get a ticket or not, if I cannot see the play what other things can be done in Oberamergau, while the play is going on, preferably I would like to talk with locals & tips for the 2020. 3. From Murnau how long will it take to ride a bike to Oberamergau & from Oberamergau to Ettal. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me Mrs. Pilar Harrietha Toronto, ON Canada

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking here, but I'll take a stab. The trip from the GaP train station to Eibsee takes about 15-20 minutes- the train to Eibsee is a normal narrow-gauge train, you switch to a cog-wheel train at the Eibsee station to continue the ascent up the Zugspitze. Eibsee sits at a relatively low elevation in the midst of a forest. There are many hiking trails in the area, but if you're looking for those postcard Alpine vistas, you won't get them here. Continuing up the Zugspitze on the train to the glacier takes about 40 minutes, much shorter by cable car. From the glacier, you have to take a further cable car to reach the summit. The cable car from Eibsee goes directly to the summit.
