Visiting Vienna for ChristmS need day trip recommendation for day trip. Already visited Salzburg twice

Hi, I would suggest Graz, a couple hours away, in southeastern Austria...a unique and interesting place. I went there as a day trip r/t from Vienna this past trip, didn't have enough time and will definitely go back.

Another European capital, Bratislava, is just an hour away. Take a "vacation in a vacation" and spend a day at the Spa (or casino!) in Baden. The Abbey at Melk is not far. Budapest is only about 3 hours by train. Ski or enjoy winter fun in nearby Semmering. Take in the Roman excavations at Carnuntum.
Go ice skating or ice sailing on Neusiedlersee.
