I am searching for a place in Barcelona which I could rent for the months of Aug and Sept.2011. I would like a place that could sleep 3-4, near main part of the city and safe for women

With all the economic turmoil in Europe/Spain I wouldn't lock in anyhting just yet. Maybe wait a while and see if the rental market rates back off even more? After all, the euro is DOWN over 14% YTD.

My sisters are going this coming july and they
used VRBO, they got a nice place in the Barri

Thank you Jerry and Martine for your suggestions and comments! You are right about the unrest in the world right now....is there peace anywhere???? I am probably too anxious to lock in a place to stay...I was looking at the South of France also....we have such great memories of Spain and France!
