Atocha train station in Madrid

I am trying to book a train leaving from the Madrid, Atocha train station. I get three options: Madrid, Puerta de Atocha (which I looked up means "door"), and Cercanias Atocha (which means "near") so does anyone know which station I should pick if I actually want to leave from the Atocha station?

These are two sides of the same Madrid station. The Cercanias is for mostly local trains. The Puerta de Atocha part is for the AVE (high speed) and long distance trains.

Thank you for the clarification. So, my assumption would be that a train to Toledo would be considered a local train verses a train to Sevilla? Is that correct?

Both the train to Toledo and the train to Sevilla leave from the same area. As you enter the station from the street level, you will proceed down the escalators to the tropical garden area. Tickets are purchased on that level as I recall, and then you will be directed to the proper area for the departure. The tracks are below the departure area, with escalators down to the track area. Your ticket will have the coach number and the seat number. The train to Toledo is 25 minutes. The train to Sevilla 2 1/2 hours.
