Ascension Thursday in Zurich/ Salzburg

We will in Zurich on Ascension Thursday in the morning and Traveling by train to salzburg in the afternoon.
Are all places and shopping districts closed in Zurich on may21st? In that case we might take a morning train out of zurich to Salzburg.
Please advise.
