around Nantes, FR

I have four days to wander between Nantes and Paris - and suggestions for where to go, stay, and do? I like rural, local food, wine, and outdoor activities. thanks!

Rural and wine. Liking rural probably rules out Anger and Chartres, which are between Nantes and Paris but not rural. The chateaux of the Loire Valley are mostly in rural locations. Wine: the Loire Valley is not the best known wine area in France but you can certainly find wine "caves" there.

Actually, the Loire wines are very good and are well known. Very good white wines (Vouvray eg) and reasonably good red (Chinon eg). Not at the level of Bordeaux and Burgundy, but still way up there Chartes cathedral is also worth a visit- Chartes town is in the midddle of open "rural" area. i am also very fond of the Loire chateuax
