We are thinking about renting a home in the hills of Soller, Mallorca in mid-August. Should we expect a mob scene there at that time of the year?
We will want to swim, snorkel, hike, and explore the towns in the area.
If this sounds crazy, any better idea for a non-jammed up stay in a seaside area of Spain? THANKS!

Yes!

No. Unfortunately, August is when most Spanish people take their summer holidays, and virtually every inch of beach ois crammed. It is less crowded on the Costa de la Luz, which runs from Gibraltar around to the Portuguese border, with the best beaches on the Atlantic side. I'm not sure what the diving activity is like in that area, but there are lots of places to visit and hike.
