Archeological dig near Porto?

Does anyone know of a current archeology site near Porto or the Duoro Valley? A friend heard about a dig site that the public can visit, but I can't find any location information. We will be visiting the area in mid-July.

I was in Porto and Douro Valley and did not hear of any sites. suggest you check Tourist info in Porto or the university there. The douro valley is beautiful, enjoy and taste some port.
