Has anyone used checkin-muenchen for private housing?

No. We used VRBO and found a fantastic apartment in the Ludwigsvorstadt area. I still have the number is you want to do a search...#214674. Enjoy!

I assume you are looking for an apartment, a place with cooking facilities and multiple sleeping rooms. Before I would consult any commercial booking website, which tend to only show the more expensive properties, the ones that pay them, I would check the website for one of the smaller, surrounding towns. These websites tend to have listings of Ferienwohnungen (vacation apartments). You might find them harder to find in a large city like Munich, but, at least, try that first.

This is a reliable website, listing apts. for multiple cities in Germany. http://www.bedandbreakfast.de/muenchen/index.php?lang=en For Lee and anyone else who is interested, the website lists what it costs for places to list their property, 10 % commission. If it keeps your property full, it is probably worth listing. I bet the city charges to have properties listed with them too. They aren't going to do it out of the kindness of their hearts, Cities make money off of this too.
