Greetings! This would be our second visit to Paris. We loved the Marais in our last trip and stayed at the Holiday Inn /Republique (not bad at all); however we were looking into maybe renting an apt this time around to save some money (we would be staying 11 days). I would appreciate recommendation of places to contact for rates, amenities etc. or any type of feedback. Looking through this website I found a lot of positive feedback on Paris Home 2000. Thanks in advance for any info. Regards-
Hi Maria,
We rented through VRBO (Vacation Rental by Owner) and had a very positive experience. If you're staying for 11 days I think that you would enjoy staying in an apartment.
VRBO
We have used vacationinparis.com and iloveparisapartments.com
We liked both apartments, and everything was handled easily and professionally.
If you look thru past messages about Paris apts, you will find a lot of recommendations about Vacation in Paris.
We just rented an apartment for 10 nights in the Latin Quarter (5th). I found it on VRBO. It was fantastic and I highly recommend it. Have a great time!
Maria - we used www.holiday-rental.co.uk for our apartment in Germany last year and for our house in England in just 13 days and have had great experiences. We will never stay in a hotel on a trip to Europe longer than 8 days if ever possible. We enjoy going to the grocery stores to see how different they are and what kinds of wonderful foods we can take back and cook ourselves. We saved a lot of money by having our own kitchen, usually only eating out one meal. I just looked at their website and they have over 1000 rentals available in Paris and surrounding area. Price and amenities are in a wide range and the flats, houses, etc are listed by area. You'll feel more like a local having your own place to stay.
Thank you for all the great responses! My daughter is thrilled about having our OWN place in Paris. I will research the various places. Warm Regards -
