I'm interested in hearing about renting apartments in Vienna. I have been on VRBO and not finding much that will fit.......any suggestions? Has anyone rented apartments close to Vienna center?
http://www.apartment.at/eng/ We have used this service many times. Try Apartments Augarten. Beatrix's apartments are not right in City Center, but there is an Ubahn stop right in front of the building so you are about 5 min from the center. We stayed with her for 10 days at Christmas and found her to be a wonderful landlady. Her family also has a nice restaurant on the ground floor. Her particular site is:

Check out Rosa Linda B&B (http://rosalinde.at/index.php?id=2&L=1). "Goedel" is the apartment with a kitchenette.
Look at Pension Sacher. Their units looks right out onto St. Stephen's cathedral. The apartments are very inexpensive, filled with comfortable old antique furniture, come with full kitchens and are run by two friendly brothers who speak English. We paid 155 per night for a large studio with the most incredible view of St. Stephen's We got to walk through some of the larger units just for fun, and they were only slightly more expensive and could hold a pretty big group.
Hi Laurie We are renting an apartment at the end of May from Lewar Apartments , this is the website. http://www.holidayhome-vienna.com/en The apartment building is between Salzgries and Passauer Platz - backing on the Maria Am Gestade Church - 10 minute walk from the Dom.
You can walk most places and transit is easy. Enjoy Vienna
Thanks everyone!
