Apartments in Paris

I am planning to travel to Paris for a month and a half this fall and am looking for an apartment to rent. There are hundreds of websites with this kind of service - does anyone have suggestions for ones that are particularly helpful/reputable (and have good bargains)? Any input on this topic would be very appreciated!

There is one listed in RSs Paris book - http://parishome2000.free.fr that is very inexpensive, 400 euros a week, less for longer stays.

His (Slim's) two apts were not available for me by the time I finally picked a week, but he had been very prompt and kind in answering my many questions, etc.

It includes free internet, free calls to France and US, etc. plus washer/dryer, kitchen, TV, etc.

The webste includes pictures and a 360 video of each apt. They are both in the Rue Cler area.

His phone is 06 19 03 17 55.

I hope this helps and he has a vacancy for you.

We took a studio apt in Marais from Parisbestlodge.com
Apartmentb was good, clean and serviceable tho very small. There are much bigger places in other locations thruout Paris. This particular one, on Rue du Roi de Sicile, was 5 blocks north of Notre Dame and near 2 Metro stops (St Paul and Hotel de Ville). No problems and friendly support.

I would suggest the lower 16th or 7th for ease of getting around. Also, study carefully your Metro map - make sure your nearest Metro stop connects easily with where you want to go!

Jessica, if you are still considering an apartment, you may find this firm of interest. The company is American, located in New Jersey. Here's the web site:

We used www.vrbo.com for our 2 bdrm apartment in Paris. in the Marais area (3rd Arr)
The listing number was 15502. Excellent location and wonderful apartment. the owner David Korn was especially helpful and speaks excellent english. We had free local and international calls from the apartment. Highly recommended. We are going to stay there again next time we go to Paris.
