I have been looking at apartment rentals as an alternative to hotel accomodations for the last five days of my stay in Paris. Any recomendations, concerns, etc. would be very helpful. I would like to keep it at or under $150.00 a night and the closer I am to where my daughter lives, in the Marais, would also help cut down on metro rides. Thanks
Melissa, I have not rented an apartment, but I have seen many posts from people who love them. I think in your case they are a great idea, since your daughter lives there( is she is in a dorm/school ?) she can be your " guide" and person to go to with questions, whereas for a first timer, I always think a hotel is nice since you can use the front desk personal to help answer some basic questions and give directions etc.
Your daughter may enjoy a quiet night "in" with you also, and with an apartment you can relax and sit and chat in comfort as opposed to having to sit on your bed in a hotel room.

Melissa, the above company is owned and based in USA.
[above web site]. You may find an apartment at the desired price, too. Your daughter could have a look before you decide - that's perfect ... bon voyage... P.
Melissa,
We just got back from a two-week stay in Paris. We had a lovely studio apartment in the Marais. It might have been a little over your price range, but not much. The studio had EVERYTHING! We found it through the Yale alumni magazine. Let me know if you're interested and I'll send you the contact info for the man who handles the rentals. He's in North Carolina.
Melissa,
Tried to read the private message you sent and nothing was there. Must be a quirk in the system. Did you get my private message with the information?
Hi Susan , my internet connection is probably the one at fault. I haven't received any of your attempts to contact me and hope you will try again. Thanks millions. Melissa
Melissa, I was very happy I had a studio and not a hotel room when I was in Paris. I rented a studio from Victoria at www.victoria-parishomes.com and was pleased both with her and the studio. I stayed in St. Michel studio, but she has several more in different parts of the city. Give it a try.
Thank you for all the insights and kind advice. Just booked a Paris apartment today through Vacation in Paris. I checked out all sites that were recommended, but after three days of "email tag" finally called the US number for Vacation in Paris. My reservation was booked and confirmed in a matter of ten minutes using a toll free number. Will post a review when I return from my trip.
Melissa,
I'm so sorry I couldn't get back to you. Every time I've tried to post, I get signed out before it happens. Not sure what's going on. Glad you found a place. Let us know how it works out.
