Has anyone used airbnb.com to select and reserve an apartment? Any comments or pros and cons? (I am planning to rent an apartment for a trip to Paris in the spring 2012 and looking at several options including vrbo)

I think there's already a nice long string about this.... since I asked that question about a month ago! I got very reassuring replies from folks who had good experiences, as I recall. In any event, I feel very sanguine about trying it out now, and plan to do so the next time I am going to Vancouver, BC.
