We will be traveling to Spain, staying in Barcelona for 4 nights. We are interested in renting an apartment and wonder if there are some rental agencies better than others to go through? Has anyone rented in Barcelona? Any help is appreciated. Many Thanks, Susan

Hi Susan, we used www.friendlyrentals.com, they have a lot of apartments to choose from in all the differents areas of Barcelona. We had very good service from them, we would definetely used them again.

I rented an apartment in January from www.friendlyrentals.com in the Eixample District in Barcelona. I had a good experience and would use them again.
Prior to check in, they require a damage deposit (200 Euro or so) and payment of the balance in cash. At first I was unsure about carrying that much cash with me, but I had no problems getting the deposit back.

Last March we stayed in the Mh Apartment near Sagrada Familia. Very clean, modern and inexpensive. Web site www.mhapartments.com
There was a grocery store and bakery right across the road, it is one block from Sagrada Familia and the metro stops, as well as bus stops and Hop On Hop Off bus stop. The photos on the web site are exactly what the apartment looked like.
