To all who chimed in on a preceding post, many thanks. I was wondering if anyone has rented apartments in Spain (specifically Madrid, Seville, Granada) for a very short term (2-3 days)? I did this in Prague last summer to great success (much cheaper, much better) but have not been able to find very good information about Spanish apartment rentals. We are fine with hotels, but having an apartment would really put us there, if you know what I mean. Anyway, insights or opinions are appreciated.
Craigslist is a great spot to find apartments. I've managed to find great spots in Granada, Seville and Barcelona through here, and the prices are great. Most post pictures so you can get a feel for what it looks like.
pardon my ignorance but what is Craigslist? I too am looking for apartments in Madrid, Granada and Seville
It's a website, Louise, www.craigslist.com. Madrid is on the list, so you might be able to find something there.
I can recommend www.sevilla5.com in Seville.
Lovingmadrid.com and one website that's highly praised for it's properties,
vrbo.com
I've also had good success with homelidays.com. You deal directly with the owners on this one, and they usually post a lot of photos. Past comments are also extensive.
I had excellent results with both Homelidays, and VRBO.com. (used both in Portugul, and other countries.)
Currently we are booking an apt in Paris thru Homelidays.
