Has anyone used a company called apartment-in-france.com? If so, any comments?
Looking for two weeks at the end of September/early October. Thanks.
Rhonda, My husband and I are in process of renting apartment in Paris for 4 weeks - mid-Sept. to mid-Oct. We are using VRBO. I did not check thru apartment-in-france.com We should compare notes after our trips. Mary
Have you googled for reviews that often is helpful. Also check on tripadivsor.com Paris forums.. I have only used Parisbestlodge, excellent company, well run etc. but at this point think they are full. September is very very busy in Paris.
vacationinparis.com is also a good choice.
I suggest you contact Untours.com. Had a great apartment in Paris several years ago. They have good choices with lots of info available to you on the web.
Pix,reviews, pros and cons. Also, if this is your first time there you may find their local assistance very useful.
We returned last week from France and used airbnb.com where we found a most reasonable and well appointed apartment for our family of four. 7 Rue Gozlin very centrally located left bank, walkable to many sites, metro, Momoprix(grocery store), cafes, etc for about $250 per night. No elevator and a fourth floor walk up. They have many to choose from in Paris alone and many that are much pricier. We stayed at a Rick Steves' recommended hotel in the Rue Cler neighborhood last year and although the Rue Cler area is nice, the location involves too many metro stops/transfers to get to most of the major museums and sites out of west Paris. I would stay in this location again any time.
I have used vacation in paris in the past! They were great!
We used Vacations in Paris for our trip last month...would recommend as well.
I used apartment-in-france-.com . This is the site/co. run by a lovely lady named Isabelle and we have nothing but good things to say about our experience. We picked a particularly inexpensive place in les Marais and loved, loved, loved it and the area. Our place was not for those expecting the five star or even four star experience, but we'd do it again in a heartbeat. It was clean, safe and again, very inexpensive. I think there may be co.'s with similar names but Isabelle is Isabelle and her website is www.apartment-in-france.com . I would take ANY reccomendation from TripAdvisor with the largest grains of salt available...they have become very commercial and I've found some very red herrings on their reviews. We stayed in a tiny apt. on Rue des Francs Bourgeoise, just minutes from Notre Dame and the Seine. One memorable experience after another in les Marais. We plan to use Isabelle and apt in france again in April/May for our next trip to Paris.
Thanks to all of you who passed along your suggestions. I've been well looked after and now secured an apartment in the Marais for two weeks.
