Hi,

I'm looking to rent a an apartment while we're staying in paris and was wondering if people had recommendations for which services were good.

Thanks for any info.

Can't say enough good about this agency: http://www.my-apartment-in-paris.com/en/. They specialize in Left Bank rentals. Friendly, reasonably priced, English-speaking, business efficient. All prior arrival communications was done by email(except once). I will definitely use them again.

ParisAttitude.com. We had a tremendous experience. They connect you with an owner and facilitate leasing paperwork etc. The website photos were very true to life.

You can even pay your initial deposits with PayPal.
Definitely go with some kind of apartment if you have the time. You get the chance to really live there.

We like homelidays.com, a huge selection which presents tons of details about each place. You deal directly with the owner of the unit, and the site encourages past guests to post reviews, so you can get an excellent idea of what you're in for.

Hello Jonathan,

Try VRBO (Vacation Rentals By Owners) as well for finding an apartment in Paris. There are no agency fees involved. You rent direct from owner. Am i an owner in Paris? Yes. It's a studio in the 3rd arrondisement. Check it out if it is the size you would need. http://vrbo.com/171439
You can also check ParisAddress for rentals.
Hope this helps. Steve

We used vacationinparis.com last year, and are renting in the St. Germain area this year through ILoveParisApartments.com. vrbo.com is also a good site. It is time-consuming, but it helps if you know which area you'd like to stay in and what amenities you are seeking.
Have a great trip!

I went on rentalo.com but I have also used perfectlyparis.com.

Most rentals use multiple sites to list, so you'll see that there are duplicate posts.

I'm using both VRBO and VacationinParis (renting 2 apartments this trip in May). I spent weeks of time looking for apartments, spreadsheeting them, contacting, etc. (yes, I'm obsessive). I can tell you that these two and the ParisAttitude site were the best/most helpful and recommended ones. Also, with Vacation in Paris you're renting from a US based Co. so the payment is in dollars and is very easy (and the price doesn't go up with the Euro difference). Even with VRBO we found owners who wanted wire transfers (cost $40 from our bank, and the same again with paying the balance=$80). Book your place early if it's busy season!!!
