My husband and I and another couple are planning for a 3 night stay on the Mosel river in July and are looking for a 2 bedroom apartment. I have spent hours searching and have come up with a few possibilities but have not heard back from most of them. Any suggestions or places you have stayed? Thanks! Pat

Hi Pat,
If you go to the above web site and type into the search box (web mode) "Apartment Rental, Cochem, Germany" you will find at least one web site to serve you. Gute Reise !... P.
Hi Pat,
This past October we stayed at...
It's in Valwig, 10 minutes across the Mosel from Cochem and about 15 minutes from Beilstein. Very nice place plus the owner, Cecilia Diederichs, is a very nice host.
While in the area, be sure to see Burg Eltz. It's an amazing castle!

Thanks for your help! I will check the website to see if the hotel has apartments. I have found a number of vineyard apartments in Ediger-Eller. Is that a nice village to make a home-base for the area?
The trouble with an Internet search is that you get loads of booking sites which might not have the best selection - only the ones that charge high rates so they can pay the booking site. Try the town's own website, www.cochem.de. It has an English option and includes Beilstein. I found apartments in Beilstein when I looked, but they were listed under the German name "Ferienwohnungen".
Since we will also be staying Cochem also around that time, I've had to do some research. You may want to try Ferienhaus Erholung Cochem website: http://www.ferienhaus-erholung.de/ - website is in german but you can translate the website via google languange translation. The person I contacted is very nice Vesna.
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-US&ie=utf8&oe=utf8&q=ferienwohnung+moselAll of those websites are about self-catering apartments in the Mosel river valley.
I got the listing from the website Lee listed above. Edith is the owner and has been very prompt in responding to our e-mails. It's right on the river in Cochem, about a 10 minute walk from the town center. And she has free bikes for guests!
Thanks for the new information. I have booked an apartment in Ediger. I hope that area will be as nice as Beilstein. Anyone been to, or through, Ediger? I'd love more info about it. I will still check out those other Websites. Jennifer, I e-mailed Edith before Christmas but she was already booked for the dates we wanted in July.
