Anyone tried Naot shoes?

I went to The Walking Store today and was looking for a comfortable pair of walking sandals for my trip to Spain in May. I tried on a few different kinds and ended up with the Naot Jessica. They are kind of like the Mephistos in that they have the cork sole, but they weren't quite as expensive. They are light as a feather. I am hoping they will keep me from getting blisters as I am prone to them. I will try them out at Disney at the end of this month first. I haven't seen them mentioned on this site so I just wondered if anyone else has tried them. Thanks!

Naots are a blessing. I have fussy feet, and some of the brands other people like are too " heavy" for my feet(like Danskos) .. Naots are light and comfy, but they are expensive here.

Anyways I purchased the Naot " Paris" sandals last year, for my trip to Paris( just a coincidence , I didn't even notice the name till I got home, LOL ) .
They were so comfy , I had no problem wearing them all day.

I have also worn them for work here at home, I am on my feet alot, and they are the best.

I plan on getting some closed toe shoes for this year, I haven't been out looking yet.

I have been on zappos for about a month looking at 2 different closed toe pairs and I am really really thinking about getting some. My only thing is, I hardly ever wear closed shoes. It is just too hot here and I never want to mess up my pedicure. lol. I guess I could try the sandles.

Hi Christina, I get that were you are from is hot, but ( I may be wrong) aren't you going to some non tropical type places ? Italy can be very hot in summer, and parts of France, but it can also be cool and rainy, and if you go into some areas ( like the Alps) it can be downright cool, especially in evenings, and even in summer.
You really should take one pair of closed toe shoes.

I have an evil trick,,, I go into shoe stores, try shoes on, then go online and order them ( if cheaper, which they often are, even with shipping) , I need to try shoes on before I buy. I know that is kind of mean to the shoe stores, but when they mark up a pair of shoes to $350 , that I can get online for $180, well all niceness bets are off!!

Lori - I have 2 pairs of Naot sandals. I too love how light they are. One pair is perfect for me and I've taken them on a few Europe trips. The other has just never broken in correctly and rubs me on the side so I don't wear those.

I find that the cork shoes tend to do much better after you have worn them for a good bit and your foot has basically imprinted and molded the cork. So yes - try them out and hopefully they will work for you.

Thanks, everyone, for your responses! I bought the Naot sandals at The Walking Store, but then found them a bit cheaper online at Blue Moon Shoes. They weren't originally much cheaper, but they were 10% off and free shipping. It saved me about $20, so I'm taking the other ones back to the mall. Have a great weekend!

Pat, yes, I am going to be going to some non tropical places but at this moment, they are all in teh planning stages. We had a trip for last year scrubbed and the same for the one this year (sigh). I would love to just buy the shoes and have them, but to pay over $100 for a pair of shoes so they can wait in my closet would not go over very well with my hubby. He did like the looks of one of the Naots I have been looking at.

My feet get cranky sometimes and the only shoes that soothe my feet are my Naot's. I wear the Kayla. I purchased them two years ago for a European trip in which we just love to walk. I needed a new pair for last year's trip as they were worn out. I was just looking at them the other day and I am ready for a new pair and I won't be leaving until July for Europe. My Kayla's are tried and true and never a blister or pain. I do get the suede version so there is nothing stiff. I never wear closed toed shoes as I am in FL as well, and these go great with anything.

Christina, tell hubby he doesn't have to wear the shoes if he doesn't like them...

PS My hubby would never tell me he didn't like something I was going to wear,, you haven't trained yours right!! LOL

Pat, he did like the 2 pairs I showed him and he actually really liked the pair that I like the best. I was glad he liked them because he is more likely to say "why don't you get those shoes you like." ;)

As long as your feet are happy your hubby will be happy right!! Glad you found shoes that work for you..

PS I know Naots come with removeable insoles, and you can apparently reorder new ones to fit your shoes, has anyone done this yet?

Lori,
I own a couple of NAOT sandels and love them. I also wear many ECCO shoes especially when I travel abroad. They are great and wear very well. They come in European sizes, so make sure you get some who really knows how to fit shoes. Enjoy!
