We will be staying for two weeks in early fall. If anyone has stayed there, please give us any ideas for restaurants, grocery stores, clubs, etc. We will have a car available to us. How about the golf??

I just came home from the Marriott Marbella Resort. It was breathtaking! There are a few grocery stores close. There is a "mall" type place that includes a grocery store about 10 minutes away. It is called La Canada. That is where we went the first day to buy groceries for the room. One of the concierges, Elena, is a wealth of knowledge. Every one of her suggestions was right on. If you have time and don't mind spending a bit of money for a good meal, visit the town of Mijas. We ate dinner at La Alcazaba (at Elena's suggestion) and it was absolutely fabulous. The view and the food were incredible. It is about a 30 minute drive from the Marriott. There are many good places for tapas in the old town Marbella. We didn't play golf, so I can't guide you on that. It was such a nice place and so relaxing! Have a wonderful time!
