We are planning to do a one day stop in Tangier during our trip to Spain. Has anyone heard that there are any demonstrations resulting from the anti-Muslim film produced here in the US? I'd still like to go if folks think the situation is safe.

Ralph's info is correct. There have been a few protests in Casablanca and Sale, with strong anti-Western sentiment, but there is no news that they have occurred elsewhere. I'd continue to monitor the news but right now it seems like tourist cities like Tangier would be fine.

Sept 12, 2012 they were burning our flag in Tangiers. Apparently, it has been quite since then.
