Anyone every stayed in the Amstel Botel in Amsterdam?

We stayed there five years ago. The rooms were small and basic but it was nice being able to look out across the water from our window. And it was convenient to the train station. At that time there was no air conditioning and as Amsterdam was in a heat wave (the desk guy said he'd been there eight years and it'd never been that hot before), we were miserable. Really, really miserable.

I'd stay there again, but maybe not in the middle of summer.
