Any suggestions for special day in Geneva?

We will be arriving, via train from Paris, into Geneva on Sunday afternoon April 28th. This day is my daughters B'day and we will have a 2 night stay in the heart of Geneva. Does anyone have any sightseeing/restaurant or other suggestions for this city?

When I go to Geneva, I also adore walking around the lake. It is so beautiful! Also, maybe go to the United Nations area and look around. I enjoyed that also.
