Any advice on cell phones in Europe? I looked at past postings but they seem to be a few years old and things might have changed since then. I am going to be in Europe for 4 weeks. Germany, Austria, Italy, France and England. I would like to have a cell phone. Not really planning on using it that much but would be nice to have when you need it. Any thoughts on disposable phones or renting? What is the simple and best way to go?

I have an International Phone that I purchased for $50 several years ago and we pay by the call. I had a medical situation with my niece when we were in London a few months ago and called 2 times a day for a week and the bill was $67??? Very reasonable. We used it from Tahiti last summer. They have different plans that cover wider areas than we have and they have been great for my $50 investment. Others can call you as well. Phone number is in the UK.
