i will have 2 short days in antwerp in may any suggestions on what is important to see and a good cheap place to stay for one?

You probably want to explore the old part of town and check out the art museum. I really like the Plantin-Moretus Museum, as well as just wandering through the narrow streets in the city center.
I stayed at Molenaar's Drom, a nice B&B within a 15 minute walk of the old town and a short walk from the main tram lines. It's about 65-70 Euros per night, which includes a private bathroom, wireless internet and an ample breakfast (cereals, meats, cheese, milk and OJ in the room which has a little refrigerator and fresh bread delivered each morning). The only warning is that the towels are very small!
