I am considering two hotels: Peninsular and Hostal Fontanella. They seem to be centrally located, near the metro and cheap. I am just looking for a single...any comments on these two or other recommendations?

The TripAdvisor reviews are more favorable for Hotel Fontanella and its location is better, in my opinion. We were in Barcelona last month and stayed at the recently renovated Hotel Granvia, which is somewhat close to Hotel Fontanella. They have single rooms, but they might be a little more than Hotel Fontanella. Barcelona is a great city - enjoy!
