Annecy and Chamonix for 2 nights

I have from June 20 to June 23 to spend time in and around Lyon. Thinking of taking bus or train or combo to either or both Annecy and Chamonix. Would spend 2 nights in either area. Does this seem workable?

I'd go to Annecy easy 1H30m train ride, charming delightful little village
Going to Chamonix is a little more chalgening with only 2 days withot a car
