We are thinking about taking a day trip from Barcelona to Andorra in the early part of January.
Is the drive up the mountains safe? I understand its probably going to be snowing, but I was wondering if they keep the roads pretty clear.

Sure they do, Andorra's a ski area.

Don't mean to rain on your trip, but why? If to ski, fine, otherwise, it's just a long mall disguised as several quaint shops most selling the same stuff at the same prices. It used to be that (if you could find the office and it was open) they had a spectacular stamp for your passport, however, don't know if they still do that. Figures, Colliere, are a lot closer and a lot more interesting(IMHO).
