My friend and I are thinking of making a trip from Amsterdam to Paris next year. We enjoy nicer weather and wanted to know if anyone had some good ideas for time of year and a nice itinerary. This trip would be for probably 2 weeks. We would probably be travelling by train but a car is not out of the question either. Thanks!

I like traveling in the shoulder seasons - May/June or September/October. The weather is nice and there are no summer crowds.

Sept/Oct would be drier and the weather more dependable. April/May tend to be cooler and rainier. Any good guidebook will discuss interesting stops between the two - The Hague, Bruges. Antwerp, Brussels,Reims, and even a side trip into Germany and through Lux, etc. Before anyone can tell you what to see and do, you need to tell us what you would like to see and do.
