My husband and I will be flying from AMS to London Heathrow. Our flight is at 7pm on a Saturday in late October. How early do we need to be there? I just want to know how much time we can allow for sightseeing that day. Thank you!

At 7pm Schipol airport isn't very busy. Thus, the various lines you may need to wait in will be very short. I would get to the terminal about 90 minutes before your flight departs. If your airline allows you to check-in for your flight via it's website, that will be one less line you will have to wait in, and you may be able get to the airport 1 hour before your flight leaves. But, keep in mind that the discount airlines are very strict about when you need to check-in and be present at the gates. So don't cut it too short.
