Im very excited, pulled together a last minute Amsterdam vacation at an extremely reasonable price....leave in less than 2 weeks!
I'll be spending 7 days in amsterdam and will not be renting a car. In Ricks Amsterdam/Bruges guide he mentioned there is NO public transportation to Flevoland? Does anybody know if this is still true, or if there are tours/busses, etc that can get me there?
Is there like a "Hey Look at this land we reclaimed from the sea" tour?
Thanks!
Looks like there is pretty easy transpo on train or bus from amsterdam centraal to Lelystad. Should be a great day trip.
I would check out this site - http://provincie.flevoland.nl/welcome_in_flevoland/about_flevoland/routedescription/ - it encourages you to use public transport to Flevoland.
Here is the tourism website http://www.vvv.nl/modules/eropuit/er-op-uit.aspx?prov=10 - you can use Google translate to translate most of it.
