I'm planning to be in Amsterdam, and wonder about the construction. Will we be able to leave luggage in the lockers?

The lockers at Centraal Station only accept European credit/debit cards with chips in them. You can get around this by purchasing a prepaid debit card. They sell them at the ticket desks. Just ask for a "prepaid debit card for the lockers", and they will know what you're talking about.

I can't say for certain that Amsterdam Centraal doesn't have lockers, because I wasn't specifically looking for them... but from my visit in December, I don't remember seeing any, and I explored most of the station tyring to find a restroom . Sorry to cloud the issue...

There are lockers. They're in a special room off to the side. Unless you are specifically looking for them you won't see them....just follow the signs. Or if you are outside the front of the station, and are facing the station, enter the passageway on the right side/front of the building. Once inside, the locker room will a few feet on the right.
