Amsterdam - Short Layover

We are flying to Paris through Amsterdam. We have a short layover and are concerned if we have enough time to get through customs. Does anyone have any idea of how long it takes to get through customs in Amsterdam?

How short a layover is it? Schipol airport is contained in one giant terminal building, so short connection times usually aren't a problem. At the immigration checkpoint, there is an express line for transfer passengers with flights boarding soon. There will be a monitor above this lane listing which flights qualify.

Hi Michelle,

Schilpol is one of the fastest international airports I've ever experienced. They're pretty quick with customs/immigration/baggage, and everything. Lots of people on here have experienced really short connection times there, and been fine.

How long is your layover time?

If you're still concerned, ask the airline agent to look up the minimum connection time for an a International,Non EU-International flight. There is a database the airlines keep with minimum times broken down by type of arrival and departure. If your time is under that limit, odds are they will help you by changing the flight.

Let us know if you need further help! Chris

I found that Schipol was incredibly fast as well. I think we were off the plane, through customs and collected our packs in under a half hour. Of course, if you hit when 15 other international flights land, customs could get backed up.

Thanks for all of the information!

Our layover is only an hour and 15 minutes.
