Spending 6 nights in Amsterdam with adult son: would like to stay centrally, but do not want to deal with late night bar/cafe noise. Prefer apt or bed and breakfast. Our daughter's dorm is in the Jordan district so would prefer to be closer vs further away from that. Where have you stayed? Places you recommend to stay or stay away from? Thanks!
Boogaards on Langestraat would be ideal for you I think. Quiet street, near great restaurants and a wonderful, quiet and authentic pub. We loved it.
We've read the wonderful reviews on Boorgaards: unfortunately, they are completely booked for our travel dates (May 10-15). Perhaps our next trip. Other ideas?
we stayed at: http://theflyingpancake.com/ and the place was great BUT not near Jordan. I would hesitate to book there again because the location was not centrally located enough for us. But the place was very cool.
Thanks for the flying pancake suggestion. They do not have availability for the duration of our stay. We have booked a flat on the Herengracht canal with Pied a Terre Properties. The reviews are good so we're optimistic. Will post a review on our return.
Definitely let is know. We love Amsterdam.
