Hi - traveling to Amsterdam and Germany for first time. Sept 16 thru 25 (8 nights in Europe) plan is 2 nights in Amsterdam - then train to Cologne and then 6 nights (with a car) in various parts of Germany. we were thinking - Koblenz, Boppard, Cochem, Trier, Heidelburg then over to romantic road towns back to Frankfurt airport. Due to short trip will be bypassing Munich till next time. (also bypassing Oktoberfest crowds)
Any tips or must see places given our western Germany focus? thanks in advance.
