My sister was supposed to send my her copy of the Amsterdam book. Oops, she forgot, and we're leaving on Tuesday, May 11th. We already have a basic plan, but I want the details from the book. Does anyone happen to know where I can buy it AS SOON AS I ARRIVE in Amsterdam (by train)?

It may not be available. At least in the Dutch and German speaking countries, I have never seen Rick Steves' books for sale. But if you are staying in a Rick Steves recommended hotel, more often than not, there's a copy lying around in the lounge or by the public computer. Perhaps you could borrow it?

Thanks for the info. Google maps is great - I located the shops in the link and a few of them are clustered together so it shouldn't take too long to look. I also checked the website of one of the shops, and they definitely do NOT carry it. Hope I have better luck at the others.
